Founder's Story
Founded by Lilian Excelencia, Go Green Gold Energies Ltd was born out of a deep commitment to transforming lives through clean, affordable energy.
After working for four years at one of the biggest solar company in Kenya—where I specialized in solar-powered irrigation—I realized something was missing. Customers often struggled with poor service and rigid, one-size-fits-all systems that didn’t evolve with their growing needs. The company focused solely on agriculture, but I saw a bigger opportunity: solar energy could—and should—power homes, health centers, schools, and especially small and medium enterprises (SMEs) across Africa.
That realization led me to start Go Green Gold Energies Ltd, a company focused on delivering tailored solar installations for all sectors—not just farms. In our early years, we served dozens of clients and provided clean energy systems for lighting, refrigeration, water pumping, and more. But there was a challenge: even with growing interest, many clients couldn’t afford the upfront cost of solar systems.
Through consistent customer feedback, the message was clear:
“We want solar—but we need a financing solution.”
That insight was our turning point. We evolved from being just an installer to becoming a solar access enabler—offering flexible, affordable financing options that let clients pay as they use, own their systems, and break free from the burden of high monthly electricity bills.
Today, Go Green Gold Energies Ltd exists to do more than install solar—we unlock Africa’s untapped potential by powering growth, resilience, and opportunity. Our name says it all:
